Trees
There are so many options for trees to use with a seaside theme. You can use something bright and colorful, plain white, or a more traditional tree. More realistic palm-shaped trees hit the market every year too. You can’t go wrong with any of these options!
Pre-Lit Palm Trees
What a great find! Traditional meets palm. This tree set couldn’t be any more perfect for a beachy seaside Christmas. The tree area isn’t very large so you don’t need much to make it festive, but the branches appear to be sturdy.
A few ornaments, and a fun-shaped light set and you’ll be all set. Wouldn’t it be fun to have two of these trees to frame a fireplace or at either end of your patio/porch? This is my favorite tree this year.
5 Foot Palm Tree
This is a classic artificial palm tree with LED lights. The branches are delicate, but could definitely handle a few ornaments or a simple garland.
7 ½ Foot Prelit White Tree
This white tree will provide the perfect backdrop for any color scheme you choose for your coastal Christmas. The pencil shape makes it ideal for smaller spaces, but still brings the height so you have ample space to decorate.
7.5 Foot Unlit Pink Tree
What a fun option! This pink is bright and fun. A gorgeous backdrop from some white ornaments or shell garland. Teal, navy, gold, or silver would be great color options as well.
6 Foot Turquoise Tinsel Tree
A great option for some height without all of the width. This could be used on a tabletop if you have high ceilings or in a porch area. A great pop of color to let some simpler ornaments take center stage.

Ornaments
Ornaments are like jewelry for the tree. They add dimension and detail in just the right places. For a balanced feel follow the rule of thirds.
One-third of your total ornaments should be solid or simple ornaments to serve as a backdrop and bring consistency to the tree. We’ll call these filler ornaments. Think of solid-colored balls in one or two colors.
One-third should be an ornament that fits the theme with a unique shape. Think solid-colored starfish, sand dollars, or palm trees. We’ll call these unique shapes.
The final third should be unique pieces that don’t need to match. Maybe a fun mermaid you picked up on your travels or a personalized Santa at the beach etc. Let’s refer to these as special ornaments.
