Holiday Shirt Care Guide
After you scoop up a festive holiday shirt, you want to be sure you take good care of it, so you can wear it over and over. Ruining a perfectly good shirt in the wash (or most likely dryer) is the worst. Follow our foolproof tips below to avoid any laundry conundrums in your future.
Check The Label Or Listing
Always, always, always read the label. The shirt manufacturer will include washing and drying instructions that are foolproof. Just read carefully and follow each recommendation.
If you’re ordering a handmade or screen printed design, check the Amazon or Etsy listing. The label was more than likely inserted in the shirt before the design, so the final directions may vary. Vendors generally do a fantastic job of explaining the care based on the shirt artwork.
If you can’t find the exact listing, look for something similar from the same vendor. For example if it’s screen print look for another screen print shirt. If it’s vinyl, check for other vinyl options. These will generally have similar care instructions so you can launder your shirt without fear of destroying it.
Handle With Care
When in doubt, launder your shirt like you do other delicate items. If your shirt doesn’t have a label or you can’t find a listing stick with tried and true delicate care rules of thumb.
